Taking action against sexual harassment in the workplace

On Behalf of The Litigation Boutique LLC | Dec 28, 2021 | Sexual Harassment

For many people in Colorado and throughout the country, the workplace has changed quite a bit in the last couple of years. Remote work has become an option for many, while overtime and stressful schedules have become a constant reality for others. However, one thing that should never change for workers is the expectation that the workplace will be a safe and respectful environment. When sexual harassment occurs in the workplace, that expectation can turn into a nightmare.

Anyone can be the victim of sexual harassment in the workplace. Sometimes, the harassment comes in the direct form of inappropriate touching or propositions for superiors, for example. In other situations, the harassment may be verbal abuse or constant “jokes” that are sexual in nature. When the harassment becomes persistent, victims may have cause to explore their legal options.

One of the biggest hurdles for victims of sexual harassment to overcome is the fear of retaliation if they attempt to hold their employer accountable. At our law firm, we understand the effort and will it takes to confront sexual harassment in the workplace. Planning the right strategy for any given situation is crucial.
